It says “not mike.” It is, in fact, Mike: a data analyst who builds things for fun on the side. Stock models, sports scanners, and a language app that’s secretly a JRPG.
Things I’m building
| Project | What it does |
|---|---|
| Valuation desk | A spreadsheet that values stocks and tells me when a price is worth acting on, and when it isn’t. |
| Sendero | A research-based language-learning app, starting with Spanish, with a JRPG mode where the lessons are the quest. |
| NBA prop scanner | A Python tool that compares player prop lines against my own numbers and flags the gaps. |
| Shop watch | A script that keeps an eye on online stores on a schedule, so I don’t have to refresh. |
About
By day I work with marketing and retail data: pipelines, dashboards, forecasts, A/B tests, and the occasional media mix model. I like the whole path from messy raw files to a number someone can make a decision with.
I studied economics at NYU and business analytics at Duke.
